Cover is nice and clean and dry. Took the boat out of storage yesterday and wanted to get a coat of the 303 HTFG on it today before it rained tonite. just did a 3x2 test spot on the back and i'm spraying pretty heavy but holding it about 8" from the cover but it doesn't look like it's bleaching the cover (which is that royal blue) but it looks like it's making it purple. Will this sort itself when it dries? I mean, it does make it easy to see where you're spraying but I'm afraid I just FUBARed my cover..... cripes

No problem,,mine looks slightly different when I treat it, and after drying, it turns the original color.

ok.... i feel like i won't have a heart attack yet. i rubbed my fingers over it and didn't pick up any blue color (didn't have the suggested white rag handy) but this is an alarmingly different color. i didn't think to open the bottle and look at product color when wet but on the cardboard (which i was using under the edge to protect the gelcoat from overspray, it didn't look to be tinted).

i will keep my fingers crossed and try not to panic. it looks like it's wet (dark blue would be expected) but a different color.... oy... don't panic, don't panic, don't panic.

I believe the instructions say a "light coat", not a heavy one?

Yeah I tried spots with both ways and it did the same thing, just a severity issue... but I think all is ok. I just went and checked and it looks normal now. It just freaked me out because my friend uses this on his red canvas and doesn't have a color change issue. This seriously looked purple like when navy blue clothes see bleach. Oy. Sorry for the scare :)
