So I got the required PC buffer as well as a set of bonnets to work with the collinite fiberglass boat wax. I am applying the wax with the blue bonnet (smooth)over the backing plate. Taking the wax off with a white (looks like terry cloth) bonntet; and finishing with a fuzzy bonnet.
I must be doing something very wrong; as the hull does not seem very smooth. I have no oxidiation; and at times the wax is forming tiny little balls of wax.
I see that everyone is using pads; are these pads in the place of the backing plate (white foam) shipped with the Porter Cable?
I am confused please help; a link to the appropriate pads would be great? Is it possible to find these locally if so where do you look?
