Running North Channel heading east going to Sailors' Haven. Yes, that is where we ended up on 7/4 and we were able to get slips.

I always run North Channel to Green 9 and then turn South. Looking at the chart I am conservative in my run, but with 11 people on the boat and a dog and a super low tide, I had my concerns. Coming out of sailors I had about 4' of water.

Anyway, Ferry left after me and beat me to North Channel. He runs on the angle thru what I think is East Channel. I am sure his local knowledge helps. When I look at the chart, though I see where you can snake over to east channel and then head to North, it doesn't look worth it to me. I tried it once in my 34' boat and I ended up touching that island you see in pic. With outdives, no big deal but with pods, not gonna float off!

What do other's do?

I have to look at my chart... I always come from far south . ID say by the vicinity of the river I cut south

Let me look its been a bit

Yeah, that is pretty much what I do, Green 9 is the buoy right before the river EN buoy. So if you go to that, then you are even more conservative than me!

Call me chicken, but there are a few channels I don't use. East, Range, Dickersons, Snake. I would rather enjoy the cruise and burn more than have to pay for a new pod or prop!

Dave, I turn south just before the EN buoy. Plenty of water that way for most of the way across then I slow down before it gets shallow approaching Sailors.

So sounds like everyone goes the way I go, though I turn south a little sooner.
FYI - there is plenty of water the way I go, it will save you a little time.
See chart above, just run from green 9 to green 27, then head south.

Dave, I go your way...just stay to port when you see the little tree :)

My route is plotted the same and have never had a problem. However I have threaded the needle just south of the fish trap area(6.9) and come across just north of the "4" and "24" many times. It's a straighter course coming out from the bridge. Mindful that I do not have your draft and also have out drives, doubt I would be so daring with a boat like yours.
