On Saturday mid morning, we went to Surfside 3 for fuel… There was a lot of boat traffic going in and out. Anyone familiar with the fishing /crab trap area along the parking lot will know people fish and trap there, but keep their stuff close to the dock.
As I was approaching the gas dock maybe a 100 yards from it, I hear yelling and this boater in front of me is waving his arms, then a guy on the fishing dock starts yelling at me, then this boater behind me starts yelling. S#$T everyone is yelling, I check to make sure I have no wake, WTF did I do….
Turns out the fishing idiot, was yelling at the guy in front of me that he ran over his line… Then the guy behind me was yelling at the fishing guy about where his was fishing in the middle of the channel, then the fishing idiot is yelling at me because I snapped his line and hit is bobber, he kept repeating you broke my bobber you cut my line… Told me I should have seen his bobber and gone around it… We exchanged a few words at the least…
While we were gassing up, even the guys at the gas dock was in disbelief when he re-rigged his pole and casted even further into the channel with other boaters having the same exchange of words with him…
As I left we did not have any words, but I gave him the hairy eye-ball (the mean look) [V] I went around his f-en bobber only to be out of my boat lane, I stopped for a second and turned around only to see another boat go over his line and his precious Bobber, with more exchanges of words…
When I thought about it today, it made me laugh, the vision of this idiot sitting on his bucket then jumping up every two minutes to yell at a boater, then sitting back down shaking his head.
