gas tank location

i have a 14' runabout with an 1961 40hp evinrude outboard for power ( however want to go bigger this year) . i would like to use a 12gallon portable tank from tempo . if i put it in the stern i have too much weight at that part of the boat . i want to put it in the front above the floor but below the fore deck . it would be about 10' from the stern . my line will be running aporoximately 13' . tank to motor . is this possible to do ? and where would i place the primer bulb in relation to the gas line ?

Shouldn't be a problem at all. Put the primer bulb back by the motor. We had a rig like this years back
for the same reasons you mentioned.
