What's a marina without a boat though Hank?????

Plenty of room on yours. Feel free to leave in my slip. Just leave her unlocked.

How can I refuse such a gracious offer!

I'm too tired to fight. How about a cigar and we cut the deck. High card wins.

I'm up for that

Ok. Now the question is who's marina do we meet at? I say we should meet at best marina to make the decision.

It is always good to have some people stir the pot to keep the board active during the slow times.....

I don't smoke so I will fight instead!

That's OK with me as long as we do it down here. It's warmer and there is no snow.

Yes, the best marina, PennyBridge

I thought the best was SPBM I guess I missed something.

Found out today our Marina has gone up another $5 per foot. I'm not feeling the love for my marina!

Thanks for the heads up Allen. Appreciated for sure.

I guess you will be moving back to Haverstraw again? Or maybe down to channel Club. Not that many options once you get into a boat your size!
The good thing is you bring all the amenities with you so you don't require much other then deep water.

What's that 3% or 4% increase? I know it adds up but is it really that bad or happening every year?

When you pay peak rates any increase is annoying especially when you don't get some basic services, I am only referring to the winter storage in HM.

Probably the highest slip rates on the river, highest fuel prices, (after spending a $1000 at the marina we get a .10 per gallon discount on fuel which is still higher than anywhere else), highest service prices, doing your own work is discouraged with certain things absolutely off limits. Need to winter elsewhere for some reason? No problem but now you have two slips cause you pay for the summer slip on a yearly basis. So this year we are at $261 a foot since we needed to winter on the hard at a place that will let us do our own work off season. IIRC the price has gone up 3 of the last 4 years.

The marina has some awesome views, access to the areas we like to travel to without that 1.5 hour run up/down the river each time and we really do enjoy being there.

Don't get me wrong, we really like where we are for many very positive reasons. We made a conscious choice but when does too much get to be too much? Especially when we could save $4-$5,000 per year elsewhere.
