Our boat has both gages for indication of water levels in the aft head. I would prefer re-locating the gage for the fwd head IN the forward head. Can you see any reason to have both gages in the aft head? My wording sounds awkward, but I am on my pain meds tonight, so I am a little fuzzy. I hope the description makes sense.

Right this minute we have both gages that indicate how full the black water tanks are ... located in the aft head. Is there any reason we can't have the aft head gage in the aft head and the fwd gage in the forward head. Sorry guys, severe toothache driving me nuts --
oral surgery Thursday. Hope I am making sense.

Actually, I would place them near the rest of the gauges, at the helm. Or in a convenient central location.

That said, i see no reason why you shouldn't place them wherever they are most useful to you. ie: forw'd gauge in forw'd head, aft gauge in aft head, if that is what you prefer.

Thanks Bill, that is what I was thinking, but thought I would ask to make sure I wasn't missing something.

And especially if they are digital you might even be able to have them in multiple locations if desired (head & helm?), as long as you can snake the cables. But you are right, it does seem make more sense to have a gauge at the head it applies to.
