Humming Frig

We have a 26' 2006 SeaRay Sundancer. The inside frig. humms realy loud when it comes on. I have tightened all of the screws but it still humms. Any suggestions what the problem may be?

It's the compressor vibrating againsed part of the frame probably. Should be able to pull the fridge out and see. Had a similar problem on my 2000 SeaRay and some foam insulation and a rubber washer fixed it.
 
Humm or a vibration ? In any event something is moving... A lot times its the contents of the fridge . Like a bottle leaning on the evaporator plate or bottle on bottle .

I don't agree my Norcold DE-0061T is hard to tell if it is running. I think perhaps the compressor rubber standoffs might be hardened. Does it hum louder on AC power, DC power or is the same on both?

Agree with Billylll; have a 20 year old Norcold DE 560 & can't tell when it's running.
 
Depends on where your refer is with relation to your sleeping quarters. AND if the A/C is or isn't running. Can't tell when mine is running either, UNTIL. . . . .bed time. Windows open, no A/C or genny. My buddy's same year size as yours SR has the same complaint. My mid cabin birth and the refrigerator are intimately close to each other, so,I hear it.

LOL this was the first thing that came to mind for me as well. It's an old phone repairman's joke.
