ideas for removing bottom paint

Greetings all, I have just aquired an older fiberglass boat that was bottom painted many years ago with a white paint. It is very chalky and I can scrape it off with my fingernail, but.. is there an easier way. Will a pressure washer do it? I have heard of people using easy off oven cleaner on decals. Will that work for bottom paint also? I appreciate any suggestions.
