Installing teak trim over fiberglass

I am refinishing my teak trim pieces and was trying to decide if I should put a bead of caulk behind them to keep the backsides dry. I have a walkaround with a hard top so things don't get to wet or too much sun. Most of the water is from washing her down.

the bottom of teak should stay dry. Either keep the water out or allow it to dry. These means caulking around the edge or but putting an air gap between the wood and fibreglass
