Is typical homestore HARDWOOD Floor ok to use ???

David,

he splashed last night so i won't be able to get a pic real quick, but I know he went to flooring liquidators. for the hatch edging he used 1/8 x 1 flat aluminum set back about 1/16" low so you don't feel the edge.

I just finsished installing the Allure vinyl planking on my boat. I will upload pictures later. It was meant to be floating but I glued it down. It looks good but was labor intensive with all the curves, hatches and angles I have

Bungee strap. When underway we put the TV on the floor in the comer (see picture above) and then place the chair in the corner and run a bungee from the port side cabinets to the hand rail by the galley steps. The couch doesn't move much.

BTW...the final touch of our interior redo was a new dinette table. A freind made it for us last fall and we put it in this spring

engineered wood flooring generally cannot be refinished as it is normally a veneer over another substrate. although its difficult to emulate a factory controled finish in the field, the surface can be perfectly filled and flat in a field applied finish. this is not possible with factory finishes. a good compromise can be to install a proper hardwood floor and hire out the finishing of it if you can handle the carpentry portion.

Beautiful Jobs! We plan on replacing the carpet in the salon, but want to change out the galley and dinette areas with either a wood-type or resiliant flooring. Both areas have hatches and curved walls. How do you do measure out or make the cuts for the curved walls?

I used kraft paper to make the template and traced onto the wood flooring, brand new blade in my saw and went slow when cutting

That stuff is incredible. My flooring guy just put some down in my laundry closet at home while he was doing some finish work for me. He was very impressed. My daughter has it in her new to her house. I thought of it for the boat, but mine is a dark 12*12 tile and grout effect. Not what I am looking for.
