Marinco EEL vs. Twist Ring Lock

Marinco's EEL has been on the market for 5 years or so now.

Time for me to replace my 50' 30 AMP old style shorepower cord.

Simple question:

Is the EEL worthy?

It s ok but the cable fades very quickly

I remember Pascal did a long in depth cord thread awhile back.

Specifically, my question is:

Should I upgrade to the Marinco EEL or simply replace the old fashioned, proven screw on locking ring style with the same?
