Marine Tex to fill holes

Hi,
I want to plug the holes left head sole from the previous toilet. It's like a gelcoat finish backed by plywood, and white. I'm thinking of filling the holes with Marine Tex then trying to smooth it out and polish it a bit. Any recommendations on how to finish it to minimize the appearance of the old holes?

Ernesto, it sounds like you got the head installed? Are you happy with it?

I'm no gel-coat expert, but I've had decent luck doing two things:

1 - Cheap gel-coat repair kit.

2 - Put screws in the holes with finishing washers.
