I went to a party yesterday in Lindenhurst I didn't know I was going to be next door to the marina, I may have thought twice about having winterizing my boat early this year. It was a beautiful day all I wanted to do was sit and look out the windows at the boats going by what a view and what a great day. Does anybody keep their boat there it looks like a very nice place to boat. I had only been there once before many years ago when I was search for my current boat.

We are across the canal at the anchorage yacht club which is even nicer.
Was actually there yesterday

It looked like a nice are is there deep water or would I be in danger if I wanted to come visit?

Deep water is a oxy moron on the south shore.
It goes from 4' to 8' in the whole area by the marina.

Plenty of boats bigger and deeper than yours transiting the area.

There are plenty of bigger boats then mine with less of a draft! I draft 53" it's one of the deepest boats of it's size it rides like a dream but I have to be careful where I travel! At 4' I'm loosing a prop for sure.

Dave, I draft the same as you and keep my boat a couple canals over from where you were. I may have even been one of the boats you saw go by, was a beautiful day out and I got out for the afternoon, quite a bit of boat traffic for this late in the season. It is definitely doable with your boat, you just have to be very careful.

I missed my opportunity for this year but I'm always looking for new places to visit.
John I spent the day looking at the bay what kind of boat do you have?
The biggest boat I saw only went out for a few minutes and that was a 40SS Formula

If your looking for a slip , let us know. A bunch of us are moving our boats east for a month next year. Watch Hill which is one of our south shore destinations is going to be closed, so we are moving out to the peconic. With that said, we will have some empty slips in AYC that will be available.

I don't that I'm looking for a slip so far from home but I would consider a visit!

Dave, I have a 38' Blackfin flybridge. Passed there out on the bay heading east and then west on my early afternoon boat ride.
