Dreft or Woolite in the HUGE laundromat machines. My Regal had a lot of problematic canvas mold issues. I went so far as to even washed the bimini with a vinyl backing. I had nothing to lose.
do not PUT THE CANVAS IN THE DRYER!!!
Reattach the canvas to the boat while damp. Once it dries, use multiple coats of 303 Protectant. Eventually, the canvas threads will absorb and expand. Then once per month a a maintenance coat.
EDIT: Insert Sunbrella for canvas. Showing my age!

I do the same as KiDa . . . . but I also add a cup of bleach with the detergent in the washing machine.
