I will be traveling east from Patchogue through Moriches bay next week. I was wondering if anyone could either post a graphic or statement on the approximate positions of the buoys that are not charted heading east ( #s 25-28) by the CG Station. Thanks to all!

The only "tricky" part is after buoy 26. Heading east you'll take a sharp right turn after 26, head southeast and look for Green buoy 27. After that it's east onto Red 28. The markers are close together and real easy to see. Went through yeaterday at "mid" tide. After 26 I had one reading of 3.5 feet, but quickly went deeper from there. Shoaling has been reported around 26 so mid-high tide is best.

Returned back from east end through Moriches and the only shallow spot, under 6' on depth guage, was between buoys 29-30. Came back 1 1/2 hours past high tide and read 3.5 ft. which means about 5' actual depth. I don't think I would go through there at low tide.
