Hello everyone. Hope some of you will have pity on me and offer some advice.
I am going to paint the cockpit of my 32' Blackfin. I've never done this before. I am going to be using awlgrip.
I have a lot of questions. If someone would help walk me through this I am sure I can avoid some pitfalls I would only learn from experience.
I guess the biggest issue I have questions about is the non-skid. Do you sand off the old non-skid or do you just apply regular paint and the old non-skit comes through the new paint. Or do you paint non-skid over the old non-skid. Since you have to sand (it would seem) over the old non-skid, it would seem that you would probably have to take it all off. But, I don't know. I want this to look professional. Will I be able to get a professional look with foam brushes and rollers? I know a real pro would spray. But of course a real pro would have a spray booth too.
Any help would certainly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
