New Manatee Zone

I don't know all the particulars yet, but, yesterday afternoon I went out in my fishing boat and saw a crew putting up new Manatee Zone signs between Palm Coast and Flagler Beach. I haven't been much further than that so have no idea how long the zone is.

A year or so ago I had heard rumors thay were going to make the entire ICW between St. Augustine and Daytona a Manatee Zone but I don't yet know the extend of what they are doing.

Anyway, just for information, anyone transiting or boating in the are be on the look out for the new Slow Speed Zones.

Are those areas where manatees have to go very slowly so as to not disturb harmless boaters?

That Flipper idea is good.
Somebody was convinced a Bear's gall bladder was an aphrodisiac. Must be true of Manatee bladder as well eh?
