New Marina in brooklyn ?

I can see it from my office. If the breakwater keeps it fairly calm should be a nice spot.

My friend went in person as he has a office near there.
Says it looks nice.
We were talking about an around Long Island trip and making that a stop.
I think you can walk to Patricia's from there which is a great restaurant.

100 slips, ranging from 16' to 250'. I wonder how many will be transient slips?

Daily rate $4.00 per foot, not bad. Seasonal $432.00 per foot (OUCH)

I'll take the subway across one day after work and check it out. They did a lot more work on the whole park area there since last year, looks nice. I used to work near there, it's a nice area, lots of restaurants in walking distance and great views of the city and harbor.

Would be a great destination to go along with Liberty LAnding .

Ever been to "La Marina" on the Hudson?

Pretty lively place!! Not for everyone but I like it.

We never stopped there and while it looks interesting I wonder how it is at night. Places like Newport, Lincoln Harbor were killer because of ferry traffic but this seems to be North of all of that.

I heard they didn't float because of "the shoes".

Have a friend, that knows a friend, that may know another friend, or not? Word has it, wrap the body in a chain link fence, then use the anchor gig, cinder blocks works well. Bodies , I hear will float to the top, something about air and science??? Chain Link and cinder blocks seems to not make that happen. Please post your results with this?? LOL

They had been talking about putting this marina in a few years ago but then I thought it got scrapped. I hadn't seen this until today.

Not sure what's going on but the place has been completely empty the last 3 weeks or so. When it first opened there was a big yacht, handful of smaller boats and a few small sailboats. Then at some point it was completely empty, and even leading into Memorial Day weekend not one boat there. Seems odd.

Could be a CO/permit problem, especially if there were no boats MM day.

Looks like a nice place, Liberty Landing is excellent with great views and nice a calm at night for sleeping. Hopefully this new place will he just as good.
Now all I need is a new boat so I can check it out.

Have we confirmed if this marina is open.

Also has anyone ever been to worlds fair marina?
