First off, im not gonna Squeel! Ok, now that we've gotten that out of the way!

Purchased my first boat last October. 28' Rinker. I was only able to get out a few times before we pulled her out of the water for the winter.

However, i'm back in the Water now! We live in Queens, so we have a slip at Worlds Fair Marina by Shea Stadium. I'm sure i'm going to have tons of STUPID questions, but here is my current dilemna. Our fuel dock isnt open yet (new owner dealing with city...fun), so i need other options. I know i have City Island, but they are only open limited hours so far. Other suggestions near me?

Thanks everyone, later,
dan

Dan.........Welcome to LICC......(even though your a queens boy ). Hang around awhile and you will start to squeel..... :) :)

Where in Flushing are you from ? I grew up in Flushing....sold out when they re-named it Flu-Shing. I still commute there everyday.

Rob is also a Queens guy.....

Enjoy.............

Thanks Don!

I'm actually from Woodside, just a few minutes south-west of Flushing!

I only head out to Flushing these days to go to my boat, go to a Mets game, or to get hubcaps!

From what ive been reading on the forum, most of you folks are over on the Shout Shore. I think i've got some learning to do before i try to make my way over there!

Thanks,
dan

In Pt Washington you have Capri and Manhasset Bay Marina

I am in Brewer Capri in Pt. Washington - enter the harbor and head to port right after you pass Plum Point. The fuel dock is open but not very active yet. If you hail them on Ch 16 and tell them you want fuel they will send someone to the dock to meet you.

At almost $5 per gallon they come to the pump wearing white gloves, tails and carry jars of Vaseline!

yeah, at $5 per gallon i better learn real fast how to get the most out of my engine and to properly use my trim and such. Lots of learning to do for me!

One way for me to look at it is that if i go to the bar i'm paying more than $5 per gallon for beer...so then my gas is cheap!

dan

Dan........What slip are you in at the W/F Marina ???

Dan,
Welcome to the North Shore. (The good side of the force)

Beware the dark side.:)

Lot's of good advice here so ask away.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the warm welcome!

Don, i'm in slip A4 at WF. Are you there? Do you know folks there?

I'm thinking i missed a great day today while stuck working! Tomorrow i'm getting out there to try to fuel up!

So the North Side is the good side of the force........i'll try not to give in to the pressures of the dark side!

thanks,
dan

Dan........

No.....I keep my boat in Copiague.

Sometimes I hang by the W/F Marine.....when its slow at work.

Dan,
