Just tired of the BS, I come here to have fun, when it aint fun whats the point. I need to keep away from the rest of the forums, otherwise I will tell someone to go f off you cs and then I will be banned.
It takes alot to get me pissed, but when I am pissed, I am not a nice guy, ask jimmy.
Don't ever want to loose access to this forum.
Also it's not about Les, if it was, I would not of just anchored up for another two years.

Does anyone... ahumm... know where Andy ran aground... I had posted this map before their trip... Was it in the area below ? Cause if you miss that north red.. you are going claming.

West of bridge, in the marsh area above the word "ponoquogue".
I was following the same path I always took. Been through there about 5 times.
But when I did it was high tide, we went at low so he could make it under the bridge.
It was me, then Walter, then Andy. I saw a low spot and radioed it back, but I never left plane.
Walter stayed on plane too.
Andy came off plane and his boat sat into the bottom.
He then used his engines to get himself off.

Ok, I see now... Most people that I know who got in trouble there kept going straight without heading north at #13... Sort of like the moriches dog leg...

The problem was we were too far north.
Like I said it was the same run in my GPS that I made before, but at high tide.
There was also alot of boats fishing in that area which make it hard to see the buoys.

I guess it was probably his own fault since they were travelling at low tide to allow him to get under the Shinnecock canal bridge.

This is where i went aground, you can see where we cut to port about a 1/8 mile before the red '12'

Well I had a long week and I’m tired as Sh!t
But the bottom line is, as I have stated before, That it was my fault by not going with what the my charts & GPS was telling me – it cost me 2K and I learned a very good lesson
Plus when I got the wheels repaired – and added much more cup It added almost 2Kt of speed over most of my load range- so in 20_ years or so I well make up the 2k with the fuel saving
I can no longer resist. Dave said: Follow me. Andy, against how he usually operates, did. Our bad. Dave did all with the best intent. However, you then read: "I usually do this at high tide. It was low that day." I radioed: "Low spot." too late. "We were too far north," and "It was hard to see the buoys with all the fishing boats." Duh. Andy went off plane? Yes, once we hit bottom. Go figure. Let's let it be. If we can play with it in jest, that's fine, but when excuses are made that negate, or attempt to do away with the reality of what happenned, that's just not right. In Dave's defense, I'm sure he feels badly about the incident, and again, not a problem, in fact, lesson learned. It's just the aftermath explanations that cause "The wheels to come off."
