I am also an Aurora sure step user and its the best thing I've ever found to protect the non skid. As an added bonus, it actually increases grip when the non skid gets wet. Aurora is a system, so you have to clean the non skid with their boat scrub and boat clean as per the directions. I know this sounds like spam for Aurora, but I have no association with them in any way other than purchasing their products.

Star Brite non skid deck cleaner will not remove wax, and it does an excellent job.

I used to use the Aurora non skid treatment, but it was time consuming and expensive. The Star Brite treatment seems to do as good a job as Aurora.

"Star Brite Deck Cleaner does'nt remove wax"? Sure does when I use it.

Takes my wax off also...Does an excellent job on the non-skid, but removes wax...
They advertise that it wont remove wax, but it does...

This year, I used Buff Magic and two coats of Rejex on the hull. For the non skid, I used Star Brite cleaner. It didn't seem to remove the Rejex. Plus, it states that it will not remove wax.

I'll have to closely check the Rejex this weekend.

I hope you cleaned the decks before you did all that polishing!

Spray Nine is what I use. I have tried many of the products mentioned above, and Spray Nine works better than any of them.

How old was the wax?

What kind of wax?

Spray Nine is a pretty good cleaner but I reserve it for the tough stuff. Starbrite Non Skid Deck Cleaner leaves a protective film that makes it easier to clean the next time. Spray Nine does not.

How old was my wax? How about 3 days! I just looked at my bottle of deck cleaner. No where on it does it state "won't remove wax". Wax was Maguire's Flagship. I use Pro Polish now and haven't had deck cleaner anywher near the surfaces with the polish, so I don't know what effects it would have.
