Just got an email about the show and I see it's running from January 3-6 this year. Didn't the show used to cover at least 2 weekends or has it always been just 4 days?

Do dealers really go through the expense of setting up at the Javitts center for such a short time?

I thought it was two weekends but I could be wrong.
I like going to the shows and looking at the prices, makes me appreciate what I have even more!

It use to be the first two week-ends in January and the entire week in between. It did not keep up with the times, became very stagnant, and is now reduced to 4 days. Very sad.

It was 2 weekends. My guess is show attendance has been down last few years. They must book it a year in advance. So they booked this way before Sandy. With Sandy now, I bet they wish it was longer. The new boat market is going to very strong next year.

Just got this in mail.

I think they switched to the shorter schedule for the first time last year.

I think the shorter schedule is the new normal. Cleveland went from a 10 day show to a 5 day show this year as well. Their hopes are to bring the same amount of people in and make the weekdays more busy. We'll see how it goes...
