Well they are still charging fee's but they have adjusted the hours as follows...

May 1 to May 22 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
May 23 to September 3 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
September 4 to November 15 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Seems like a step in the right direction.

Hear that Les , at least thats one NY has over NH is the awesome canal system ! :)

Even a season pass is quite reasonable I'd say for what you get... plus it helps support em ... most who have enjoyed them can probably relate to that.

Good to see they increased the hours. The Feds at the Troy Dam usually follow the same hours as the state does and sometimes like going up to Waterford without always staying the night.
 
Thats too bad to hear his witt and sense of humor doesn't make it over here. He is funny & I like hearing you guys bust his chops all in good fun... jon
 
No fear here. Thanks, Jon, for the comments about my wit. I can't wait until I get the other half.
 
We should really stop busting Les' chops...at his age, he could break a hip.
