Painting my boat bottom

My boat has been out of the water for two years I use a seasonal antifouling paint...I powerwashed it today is there anything else I should do before I paint the bottom since it has been out soo long

sand it

"sand it" lightly. You just want to knock of any loose paint and rough up the rest so the new coat has something to hold to.

Be sure to wipe it down with a cleaner after sanding.
