I don't want to start a huge discussion on different pads, so I will be specific. I purchased a 7" Chicago Harbor Freight polisher for myself for Christmas. I have read forums back to March about wool and foam pads, and I have decided to go with Mike Ryan's suggestion of using white and yellow wool pads, but I am lost about the white and yellow pads. What is the difference between them? I have searched boatfix website, and I have looked up Lake Country, but have only found white pads. Do I want thick polishing pads, do I need to change out the stiff, 7" hook and pile backing pad that came with the polisher for a flexible one? I have only used orbital polishers on my boats, so I am really lost when it comes to a real polisher. I appreciate the help.
