Some boats Dave, He still has that Carver their that I looked at last March. The Silverton 45C, is a real good boat (little bias there). The price of 289, 299, or even 310, is really a steal if the boat is in good condition. Just my 2c
Also,
Prior to Sandy, boats that are in this price range don't seem to move very quickly. I also think, when you get to the size of a boat like the 45C or 50C or 45 to 50 foot boats, there is a vast difference between models and manufacturers. Point being:
The 45C is really a 48 foot flybridge boat (LWL). For a 48 foot LWL boat, the salon is not hat of other 48' boats (smaller). This is do to the large galley, 3 staterooms and a huge cockpit. A MY that is smaller feels bigger, guess what I am trying to say here is once you get to a boat this size, your either going to hate things about it or love it. Me, I like the traditional lines, but with that like, space is lost. I like the large cockpit, but with that said, more salon room would be nicer. Also, because this boat is a convertible, the cockpit does not have the comfort features you would find in a searay (seating).
Just saying when you get to this size and you have the money to afford a boat this size, you become less likely to compromise and that drags out the buying process. Again, just my opinion and observation.
