Remove Stripes Lines

What is the best technique to remove the lines from a haul? I keep trying to pull them off but they come apart.
 
Well if I had a really BIG Haul....I'd try to remove the Hooks from their mouths first and if that can't be done I'd just cut the lines and buy new Tackle.
If you're trying to pull the lines and they're coming apart then you need a heavier test line. What pound test line are you using right now?

I used a heat gun on low setting...go nice and slow and it comes off in one piece.
 
Just did mine. Heat gun or hairdryer works. I found that if I heated up sections about 2-3' in front of me and let them cool slightly, they came off in one piece. Also, pulling down at an angle helps too. Glue comes off with "goo b gone" or "goof off". Putting the new stripes on proved to be much harder.
 
I just removed the striping from my 34' Silverton. Had purchased the 3M stripe and deal eraser wheel but found the hair dryer method to work best.
 
Just did mine too. The name and the stripes....well....half the stripes. I need to spin it in the slip to get the other side. The hairdryer method worked well for me. Older dryer set on high. I kept it a couple to 3 inches in front of the area I was trying to remove and pulled the stripes perpendicular to the hull. All in all it was a pretty easy job. The black stripe came off easily, while the gold just desintegrated for some reason. I used acetone and a ton of elbow grease to get the glue off. On the way home, I stopped at home depot to buy some Goof Off. The stripes are staying off. The name, hailing port and side markings are the only things to remain.
