Just did mine too. The name and the stripes....well....half the stripes. I need to spin it in the slip to get the other side. The hairdryer method worked well for me. Older dryer set on high. I kept it a couple to 3 inches in front of the area I was trying to remove and pulled the stripes perpendicular to the hull. All in all it was a pretty easy job. The black stripe came off easily, while the gold just desintegrated for some reason. I used acetone and a ton of elbow grease to get the glue off. On the way home, I stopped at home depot to buy some Goof Off. The stripes are staying off. The name, hailing port and side markings are the only things to remain.
