Yikes, removing the upper helm ?
Last year I piloted my Trawler from Michigan to Ct and drove 100% of the time from the upper helm. A month on the water was no time to compromise on comfort and visibility. The visibility improvement for me vs the lower helm is a huge increase. As a matter of fact, I have stuffed animals on the lower helm station ,lol.
