I would like to remove the windows on my boat to refurbish them and paint the gel coat between the rub rail and walk way after they are removed. My gel coat is faded and the windows need new wiskers. Has anyone removed the windows on this boat? Any suggestions?

Thanks

I need to do the same thing next spring. It looked like maybe you just unscrew them from the outside, but I'm sure there is some kind of seal under that. good luck and if you find out please post a reply.

I think 09carver is right. They unscrew from the outside. If you don't have leakage at the window, I'd recommend leaving them in. Most likely they are heavily caulked/sealed into the opening and will be a bear to remove. I painted the black fiberglass on my Mariner last year. Tape up the window frames and tape a line around the perimeter. I used a 2-part epoxy paint and painted roll and tip by myself. Doesn't look as good as a spray job but a helluva lot less cost. The weatherstripping can be replaced without removing the frames.
