If your boat is at Haverstraw Marina you are in very good shape. The boats are barely moving especially south of main dock which is always the calmest section. I was surprised to see how many boats had neglected to add additional lines or tied improperly for such a forecast
I would expect some boats will break free. There are even a few jet skis still in.
River and Beach roads are already flooded. The road and parking lot by West dock at HM is flooded. You cannot tell where the parking lot ends and the river begins by West dock. The restaurant docks are taking a beating & looking like they are barely holding on. In the grassy area south of the meeting room/cabanas the river has come over the bank and is very scary looking. There are tugs pushing barges just sitting out there, I guess they are waiting it out. There were also two large sight seeing boats heading north against the wind & tide barely making headway. Maybe moved 100 feet in the 5 minutes I watched them.
On the other side of beach road just west of the penny bridge, in front of the park, that too was under water. The launch ramp there was completely covered by water & part of the park as well.
I was unable to cross over the penny bridge, it was blocked off, but one of the public works guys said the road was "buried". All the boats I was able to see at Ba Mar and the edge of Mineseongo were fine though
Hard to believe the worst is yet to come because that river is damn ugly already. If I am able to get out and about I will take another look later on.
