Does anyone know of a cleaner to get rid of Rust stains on the non skid floor of a center console...looks like the previous owner left some items on the floor that stained it. I tried ajax and a scrub brush...no luck

If the floor is gel coat you might try naval jelly or any similar cleaner which contains phosphoric acid. Iron oxide (rust) is soluble in that acid. Be sure to check to insure that the cleaner does not attack the gel coat.
 
Sno Bol toilet cleaner, cleans rust and most other stains on gelcoat like magic, squirt on, rinse off.
 
There's a prudent hierarchy of acids for rust stain removal. The least aggressive is oxalic, then phosphoric, and then hydrochloric. The safe approach is to use no ore strength than you need - the stronger the acid the greater its ability to corrode metals.

There are a number of oxalic acid based spray type rust stain removers, such as the Starbrite product. There are also phosphoric acid spray treatments - often called a rust converter - and Naval Jelly is phosphoric acid based. Common muriatic acid is hydrochloric and should be diluted to 10% strength if bought straight at a hardware or pool supply company. Sno Bowl is hydrochloric acid based.
 
Great help...I will head to the hardware store, track down some CLR and get to work. For some reason I thought getting rid of the rust stains was going to be a big problem but from your responses there appears to be lots of products available.
