Any opinions please, 21-24' model years 2000-2005

Power? Enclosed head, seating, etc
 
Last year I purchased a 2001 230 Signature Bow Rider, similar to the sun deck. We love it! Great day boat, excellent ski boat. Mine has the enclosed head, stern shower, CD player etc..

Update: Mine has the 7.4 MPI Mercuiser engine with Bravo 3 drive, it moves!

The SunDecks are very popular boats, personally I have never owned one, but have friends who do and love them. I looked at a used '04 220SD two years ago. Nice day boat, had an enclosed head, plenty of seating, sink/bar, all the goodies you expect from a SeaRay. Ran and handled well. The one I looked at had a Merc 5.0 with an Alpha drive. If I were buying new and could choose I would get the Bravo III. Still the model I ran was a nice boat, I made an offer, but owner and I couldn't agree on price. I ended up getting a '99 185 Bowrider, we keep it at our lake house...when I replace it, will probably be a 220 Sundeck.
 
The 240SD is hard to beat. It has loads of room, a very comfortable (and usable) head, and is Sea Ray's largest selling model. I owned a 210SD and a 240SD and would highly recommend the 240SD.

How do you intend to use the boat? Family day boat? Fishing? Boarding or Skiiing? etc.

tubing (fresh water lakes), family day boating and anchoring at Napatree point (Watch Hill Rhode Island)
 
I have had a 2001 210SD for 7 years and have really enjoyed it. No problems since I took it out of the water and put it back in rack storage (had it in the water a year and a half and it didn't like that). Got about 550 hours on it. The newer and larger models have a real head in them which looks nice, but I am never that far from one on the ICW or anchored on the water somewhere to need it. People still compliment how it looks and rides.
 
IMHO - The 240 SunDeck is one of the best all around boats, It is my understanding it has been one of SeaRays best selling boats. We use our on freshwater lakes, rivers, and the coast. Works great in all locations. Lots of room and storage.
 
I have been in both the 220 and 240, they are both great boats, good layout for a group, plenty of room, enclosed head, I know the 220 has the 5.0l MPI, Bravo III, it runs good, on plane quick and economical to run. I was in Chuck1's 240 in PCB last June, more room than the 220, more than you would expect for 2 feet difference, his 350 MPI, Brave III planed out quick. Should I change I would go to the sundeck layout.
