How do you secure wool polishing bonnets to keep them from flying off? I'm using several 6" ramdom orbit polishers that do a great job but I spend too much time fussing with the rb2@gr5t#$^% little strings.
The terry cloths for waxing have elastic and stay on fine.

Found out the answer. Only use pads that are held on by an elastic band. Threw out the junk pads with the strings and all went much faster. Also used a tongue depressor to clean the wool pads.
Hope this helps some one else and I'm not just talking to myself.

Larry,

LOL....you not talking to yourself :)

Thanks for sharing Sir!!

Thanks Stan.
BTW I used 3m compound then Finesse II both with wool pads then Collinite 927 with blue applicater and terry cloth. After one year the whole hull (11 year old boat) looks like it's still new in the showroom.
