sliding door frame: powder coat or anodize?

My sliding door frame has some corrosion on it. I'm contempating taking the frame apart and getting it either powder coated or anodized. It seems that anodizing can be made harder than powder coating, but I'm not sure. Postings on another thread seem to indicate that powder coating is not very robust.

Anybody have anodized aluminum on there boat? How does it hold up?

If at all possible I'd suggest avoiding powdercoating anywhere on a boat exposed to saltwater. Any slight inevitable nick will allow the nearly unstoppable crevice corrosion process to begin, then it looks awful as it quickly spreads.
