Okay, so this year I'm going to do it right - go over the whole boat with Buff Magic.

I've got a 7" variable speed HF buffer, but I'm confused as to whether to use wool or foam or what color, etc - even after reading all of the posts.

From someone who has actually done it with Buff Magic, what type of pad did you use and where did you get them?

I used BM for the first time last year and it was actually the first time I had ever compounded anything. I used Lake County Kompressor, 7 inch, White LC-44-6650KR. They are not hard to find on-line but shop around because the price varies. You will also need a FBP-6C 6.125 Circular Flexible Backing Plate if you don't have one

Good luck

I have used BM with white wool for the past 2 seasons. Had the best results with putting it on by hand and taking it off right away with the buffer, don't let it dry. I tried the foam, but it didn't seem to work well, remembering last year, I believe the foam just clogged up very quickly and was not as forgiving as the wool.

Love the results with BM, but I going out on a limb and trying Aurora Boat Scrub & Boat Shine for the first time this season. Will post my thoughts of BM vs Aurora within the next two weeks.
