Thats what it would be for most of the time. A day trip to Croton may not warrant bringing the dink everytime.

Whats wrong with deflating it and storing it in a dockbox?

Will they let you put a dockbox in front of your slip? If so, any limitations?

What about a dockfridge? That would be cool.

I don't think so. You would be the first. The docks are narrow and would be in the way.

Dock fridge, ummm, probably not but we do have fake dock boxes. Not those big ugly white things you see at stuffy marinas but those slightly smaller, WAY less expensive black tool boxes like you can buy from Home Depot or Lowes for around $50. (Lots of em on G-dock.)

As long as you hang the back edge over the water a bit so that the face is even with the dock electric towers you should not get any complaints. Having one on each side of the dock opposing each other would be bad as a dock cart would not fit past them.

BTW - that is MY understanding of the unwritten rules. Don't blame me if the marina has a different understanding then I do.

Well let me figure out my slip first. Then I'll work on the dock margarita mixer.

So who's the unlucky neighbor? We just got back from the marina to pay my balance and pick a slip. For our boat being 25' we opted for the first dock off the main one. They gave us a list to choose from and we preffered G-20 but there was someone's dock box there and they are checking if the person formerly in that slip is back this summer. If not it will be G-6.

Now i'm really phsyched to get in the water. Look forward to meeting everyone!

Where is 20 on the first dock? Facing land or the river? I am supposed to be on that dock I believe as well on the river facing side a few slips down from main.

G-20 is the 10th slip down on the first dock facing land. I only draft about 24" with the drive up so I should be OK on that side. My wife liked 20 because you can see the beach, playground and pool from that slip. They told me 20 was available, but then we went to take a look and there was a fender tied to the dock and a box there, so they were going to just make sure and get back to me tomorrow. If not I'll be in the 3rd slip down.

I'm just excited to have shore power and not have to worry about kids hanging around my boat doing God knows what. (drug ziplocks all over the old parking lot) Also not going under a bridge is going to be a big plus, hopefully low tide doesn't bite me.
