Does anyone have a date yet?

I'm uncovered bottom is prepped they started cleaning yesterday tomorrow wax begins. I will be out of town for a week but when I return I plan to bottom paint and install the zincs. I should be completely ready by Easter Sunday. If all goes well I should be in shortly there after. I'm not really in a rush but things seem tp go quicker when you pay someone else to clean and wax:) Bowline here I come.

Last year was my first letting someone else detail and wash every other week. I will never look back. Life is too short. My new toy gets delivered next Friday. Need to register, add name, depth sounder and underwater lights and she will be ready to go.

I'm going in as soon as SPBM opens the bathrooms in the pool house and Sea Tow has a boat in. First things first.

As soon as my marina bottom paints and waxes my boat, they can splash me.

I love to see that we are all deciding to let someone else do the hard stuff for us. Is age or smarts finally getting to us?

I used to enjoy doing my own prep, it gave me a chance to get a close-up look at the hull. I figure it would take me at least two full days to wax, and a day to prep, bottom paint and put zincs on - so I really need two weekends. If the weather is lousy on a weekend, it sets me back a week. With the marina doing it, they can work on it during week days.

Plus, I'm too old for that work.

Happy Easter to all that celebrate!
I plan to spend the day bottom painting and hope to be ready to launch be the end of the day. I just hope I can still stand and walk tomorrow:)

Boat is all done and ready to go. Wrap came off this week and water, A/C heat and motors are ready.

That was easy.

I finished up yesterday I'm ready to launch I just have to find time and make arrangements.

Launched on Wed Audrey and I went to the boat last night to do a systems check and create a punch list sadly it's a long list this year. I seem to have a leak in my steering I had a nice oil leak on the floor beneath the steering wheel I guess I will need to rebuild and replace the O rings PITA to access! I also have a few water leaks the filter for the ice maker cracked over the winter and I found another cracked fitting. In addition to these issues my GPS isn't getting any satellite signals I have a spare antenna I will have to swap that out as well. So far everything else seems OK I was hoping for a better weather weekend to bad out most of this list nothing too big but a small PITA things but that's what boating is about hopefully this is all that will go wrong this year if so I would be happy!

Fixed everything in a few hours nothing was really a big deal. I still have to bleed the steering pump but that shouldn't be a bit deal either. I glad I'm in for the snow tomorrow I may have to sleep on board to make sure there are no issues but I'm not expecting any problems.

Just got done snow blowing the driveway. Heading up to the boat to check antifreeze and water systems before she gets shrink wrapped tomorrow.

Hank you are late this year. I am already on the hard with the winterization done and the shrink wrap on....

June 15th is starting to look good, it may warm up by then

A short time ago when it was warm I replaced my fuel pump. Put the muffs on so I could run it and check new pump for leaks. Decided to drain the heat exchanger when I was finished. Glad I did. Gonna be 21 in the morning.

Hard freeze tonight and tomorrow night. Glad I'm still winterized.

I covered my vents and put a heater in the engine room. I also have a heater in the main cabin. I checked on the boat last night the docks where icy but the boat was warm and cozy I don't expect there to be any issues I have some water in the bilge nothing was even close to freezing. I will be checking on it again in the morning things will warm up a little tomorrow far from warm but not freezing anymore. If I wasn't already in I wouldn't be rushing to go in but as long as I'm in I will make the best of it.

I'm in, who's up for Croton this weekend?
