I'm kind of dissappointed that my relatively new strata glass just will not repel salt water even though I've used the one friggin product that they suggest is ok to use.

Anyone got any ideas how I can get that "rain-x" result on strata glass so salt water wont stick to the windows?

Soap (NOT detergent) and water to clean. Meguiars 10 and 17 pre season. Regular Pledge during the season.

G--are you using the Imar product, and are you using the just the cleaner or also the wax. I have had good results with run off with that product, and also had good results prior when I used to wax Strataglas with Collinite 925. We have 23 panels so we are really in to this!!

We use the IMAR cleaner and then follow up with the IMAR polish. Seems to work great. We also rinse with fresh water after each outing.

I wouldn't use pledge or anything else unless you are out of warranty though. You don't want to remove the special coating from the vinyl.

Check out EZ2CY's web site. I know you don't have their product, but they have info on maintaining vinyl on there also. www.ez2cy.com You could also contact Strata-glass in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and ask their advice. (800)581-5801
Rain-X used to be OK, but they now and for quite some time, have been using certain solvents that are not recommended for any plastics or vinyl.
