I have a 10 year old boat that usually had the hull waxwed but not thge cabin. I decided to do it this year with Collinite cleaner and wax. I applied the cleaner, then the wax, but it came out streaky as hell. I used the cleaner again and it seemed to straighten things out. Another thing, the fiberglass has lost its shine and seems to be a satin rather than gloss. I was wondering what my direction should be for the best result given the condition of the boat.

...satin, as in chalky i bet? is the only way you get a shine is when you look at it at a certain angle?

not sure what you mean by cleaner, but my guess is anything short of a compound will get the shine back.
as for the streakiness, the wax is baking in, which is typical on a boat that has lost its shine. 1st, try doing smaller sections. 2nd, do it quick. ie; put it on, and start removing it when wet still. it'll come off tougher (more rubbing) but no less harder then what your going thru.

for best result though, do a full polis or compound before you wax
