Summer Get-together

Flutterby, a collegue drew up this new propulsion system for me on the white board, probably about the same speed as the electric trolling motor but this way I will have redundancy. DD

Well, why didn't you say? Liz and Greg each have a dog I'm sure they'd let you borrow! If that's not enough, I could start rounding up some neighborhood cats. You probably wouldn't need the hot dog with cats. Directional control may be an issue, though.
 
DD----I love it!!! Your two dogs are good swimmers, so it should work and redundancy onboard is always a good idea!

Al, my dog is a foo-foo dog who hates getting wet----he doesn't even know how to swim and just freezes when I put him in his PFD.

And remember what Bill said in Yachtsman about "hearding cats".....?

July 11/12 is the ONLY weekend in July or August which is currently booked for me........
 
Well, I was just informed that I have a wedding to go to on the first weekend in Aug. I have seen 50% of the poll wanted that weekend. But, Dave's anniversary is on that weekend, and we wouldn't wont to go without Dave..............
How about the second weekend in Aug?
 
Ok. That works for me. We can have an "after the birthday" party for me.... he, he
 
Aug 8-16 is our annual 'anchor week' with our friends. Not sure where we'll be on the delta, but I'll try to catch up to the group if you're close by. Maybe I can borrow a friend's ski boat to stop in for dinner and a visit.
 
I have went through all the posts on this thread and Flutterby's Poll thread, and didnt see any neg. posts for the week of Aug 7th-9th. How about that weekend?
Does anyone have conflicts on that weekend?

I REALLY wanted it to be on Flutterby's birthday (August 5th for those that didn't know), but if we have to miss it, oh well...there's always next year!

I don't know if I'll be able to spend the night on this weekend since we have boating plans, but I'll join up at least for a meal and a couple drinks. If my friends don't want to start our "Anchor Week" until the 10th, I'm there for the duration!
 
I'll have to choose between this group or the Poker Run with SJYC if we pick that weekend dvan. However, I could do the poker run Saturday and swing by to say Hi on Sunday.....except most folks will probably be gone early that day.

BTW. Aug 5 is a Wednesday this year, so either the weekend before or the weekend after works.

Hey, Happy Birthday, Dennis!! Are you going out on the water to celebrate? Did you ask for that outboard for your birthday? (Mary, it's not too late to go shopping!!)
 
Thanks Dave and Al. Another year past, there going quick now.
Al I told Mary that a new one was $999. So she gave me a 10 dollar bill and told me to keep the change.
I had found one on craigslist in Sacramento, but it was the day we left on our cruise and I couldnt go and get it. Still watching out for one.
