That sounds like a great trip. I definitely did it wrong last year stopping at too many ports for too short of a time. Costly too. I think we spent $300.00 for the night at Sag Harbor for the slip and the same on dinner with a friend and we were there less than 24 hours. I also would not mind spending a day or two on the hook along the way.
Hank that sounds good to me just a PITA with dogs. I'm not sure what I will be doing with the dogs this year I'm hoping my kids will join me and this would by a problem I would likely have at least 1 maybe 3 dogs.
No plans yet either. Mike, we usually travel the same 2 weeks of July that you do every summer. In my opinion there the best weeks of the summer. Dave, the more dogs the merrier!!
The dogs are not much of a problem I love my dogs but three on board my boat would be a bit much they are always under foot and they like to be walked all the time. My dogs are very used to having a doggy door in my house and they come and go all day long. The dogs love the freedom but this is hard to replicate on the boat.
Just did a virtual check of my boat from the comfort of the beautiful Palm Harbor Marina and my salon is a comfortable 51 degrees and the engine room is a toasty 72 degrees. It's 81 here in West Palm today just a bit humid though.......
