Bought a boat that someone had put letters on and then let it set in the sun to cause fading. (See Pic).

How do i remove or blend to one color again. Tried so fiberglass color restore, didn't do much. Any Ideas ?

Thanks for your suggestions !

Your photos have to be brought in through Photobucket.
I had a Red Fiberform that faded. Most Red boats fade pretty bad after awhile.
I tried rubbing compound and hand rubbing, but the problem is way beneath the surface. The only thing you can do is re-paint.
There's at least two choices there. And a heckuvalotta debate on those choices. I just lived with it till I sold the boat.

If you can't live with it, you can wetsand the gelcoat with 1000 grit paper on a sanding block.

Try Yacht Brite magic buff. Works great on older gel coat. I used it on my 78 hunter when I first bought it. The previous owner had never washed it let alone thought to wax or polish
