Sunday...

Went out for awhile on Sunday, beautiful day, seals are in and laying on the bar, huge flock of birds working the surf just south of the Shinnecock Inlet. Couldn't/wouldn't put my boat there but there but there had to be a large mass of fish pushing up bait...seas were still up around 6-8 with the NW wind stacking them up with the tide going out. Looks like game on finally.

I have been told that we get Seals over by Captree near FI inlet from mid winter until early spring. I have yet to see one.... That would be a nice treat.

Brad they haul themselves out on the islands across from captree they're small and try to blend into the landscape.Bring a pair of binoculars so you can spot them when they show up.

You can take the car to Jones Beach fishing pier, park and walk west and you'll see the seals most days.
