Well, against my better judgement and that of some ROs here, yet on the advise of a neighbor, I tried using Super Slick on the bottom of our 19' Wellcraft this season. The boat stayed in the water for the season, fresh water for the most part but turned brackish late in the season. We put the boat back on the trailer yesterday for the first time since the beginning of the summer. The results? Several notches below dismal! Not only was the growth heavy on the bottom (which I was pretty much aware of) but there are more barnacles on the bottom than I ever had on any of our larger boats. Needless to say, I'll be spending several weekends scrapeing barnacles and trying to remove the residue of the Super Slick this winter (not sure how yet!) before I sand the bottom, apply a barrier coat and several coats of an ablative bottom paint in the spring. Super Slick super sucks as a full season bottom protectorant.
