I need to find a small bottle or can of touch up paint in Ivory or similar off white. My anodized window frames have some very small areas where the aluminum is bubbling the coating. I have heard that one should dab a little vinegar before priming and painting.

Any ideas?

Check on interlux Brightside paint. It comes in a lot of colors. Most paints won't stand up to the U/V and Salt. This is a one part urethane paint and has U/V inhibitors. Make sure you sand it well, wash with fresh water and dish washing soap (ie. dawn, joy, etc), and then wipe it down with acetone before you prime then paint.

Aluminum should get special primer the name of it escapes me....

Read Geebee's sticky on painting aluminum. Its at the top of the engine forum. probably too much for a touch up but for painting a large aluminum surface his instructions are great. I have followed them to the T several times with great success.

I am talking about two areas that are less than 1/4" each in diameter. Any got any ideas that don't call for a grinder and a quart of primer and paint?

Have you considered trying Rustoleum? Small investment; not much to lose.

Consider using exoxy appliance touch up paint sold at depot or hardware. It is a small bottle with applicator brush, and it's pretty durable stuff. Comes in ivory or cream as well.
