Anyone ever been to this dockside restaurant?
My kids gave me a gift certificate for Father's Day but I think there is not alot of water getting in there.

Please let me know if you have been by boat and what to expect.

Thanks!

If I were you I'd take a ride past there by car and have a look at the setup before you bring the boat.
We went a couple of times last year by boat. Food was good, but the entrance to the boat basin is very shallow, and most of the available slips are best suited for smaller boats that can go bow in.
I backed in to one of the slips more on the east end of their dock, and when I left in low tide I was kicking up a little bit of muck until I got a few feet away from the bulkhead.
Not a whole lot of maneuvering room for a larger boat in the basin. The boats docked opposite the restaurant are kind of close.
That being said: I have a friend with a 42' Sundancer that goes more frequently. He says he coasts in through the entrance to the basin in neutral just to be safe. He also handles his boat really well, better than most handle a boat of that size, so he has no issues with the tight quarters.
I can honestly say that I think handling a 42' boat in there would be a bit nerve wracking for me at my skill level. Not impossible, but a little tighter than I'd prefer.

You forget I have pods, I can handle boat pretty well but more concerned with my 42" draft!

Negative with the pods Dave, The place used to be Mario's High Hook. I've heard good things. Enjoy yourself and take the car.

I thought that is what it used to be.
Okay thanks.
Really wanted to take boat.

I agree with JVM225, very tight! Not to bad for a 25' or less with an outdrive....

Guy from tres palms wrote me back and said he gets his 40' sport fisher in there.
He said 40' would stick out far in the slips they have. I assume he puts his boat somewhere it doesn't stick out!

Guess we will look to take a friends smaller boat or go by car! :(

Think Ill be OK with a 24ft center console, with a pulpit and an engine bracket, LOA 29ft?

I wouldn't go there with pods.
But the food was good when we were there last summer, so a trip by car, or smaller boat is worth it.
Haven't been there yet this year because we've been too busy with boat shopping, but we'll definitely be heading over there at some point this season, even if we have to go with the fishing boat.
