i found 2 small dime size holes at the
corner trailing edge under the water level

just into the mess area
can i patch with regular fiberglass and cut a small patch and roson 1 or 2 layers should bring it up to surface
if iam on the right path, then do i just build it up above the hull surface then
just sand that area? it must of happened when loading on the trailer today
thanks in advance

MarineTex should work well. Build slightly higher than surface level & sand flush when set. Can be painted, gel coated, tinted, or left alone.

marine tex is epoxy and can patch the holes, but gel coat, which is polyester, will not bond to epoxy. If you want to go with a gelcoat finish, use polyester resin for the entire patch and finish off with gel coat.

I'm not sure I can visualize what is going on. What's the "mess" area? Are you saying you are just missing a little gel coat? How deep? Structural? Coring? Do we care about cosmetics?

The above posters are both accurate. If its not that deep and small, non structural, you could just fill with gel coat and be done with it. Expoxy is best for repairs, though as noted you can't adhere polyester gel to it. Actually, you can, but you first need to purchase a special epoxy resin that polyester will bond with. System Three makes one.

If this is a ding as it sounds. I'd be likely inclined to patch with gel.

Picture might be nice.

gel will work when do i get that
holes are from trailer side guides
just chipped the fiberglass away the strings are showing nou a structure issue
just dont want water going into the string mess
color
ide like to get a close match
how do i do that
its on the bottom so if i cant no big deal
thanks again

Check BoatFix 1st. If no hits, Google "gelcoat"....there are dozens of hits.
