I am in the process of getting Saint Max back to Bristol condition or as close as possible. There was a lot of nasty pollution at my former marina that damaged my canvas and oxidized the glass. I had the boat detailed a few weeks ago. It is better than two months ago and will do until the spring. The bottom has been pressure washed and painted. The custom hard top, coupled with new gold leaf and black boot and pin stripes give her a bit of a custom look. I cleaned and preserved the helm with Malco cleaner and PB2. It looks fine, feels good and has UV inhibitors. PB2 has silicones in it and I do not know if that is damaging to the material or not.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good vinyl cleaner and preservative or is my present course OK? Is Flitz the way to go on the railings?
As an aside...Why is a 30 amp 50' power cord less expensive than a 25' and why is it cheaper to but a cord than the ends to make up a custom length cord to leave at home port?
Yes it is the end of the season, however, in VA, this is the time to get ready for fall cruising. Fall cruising rocks.
TIA
