Any suggestions for a good product to use to help waterproof canvas? Thanks

Suggest that you go to the sunbrella web site www.sunbrella.com and look at their care and cleaning section.

303 and other similar spray products do a great job. I used to spray mine about every three to four years and the sunbrella performed just as it did when brand new.

Don't mean to hijack the thread and this might seem like a dumb question, but when you guys apply 303, do you spray it on the outside or inside of the canvas?

Outside. Kind of acts like the oils on a ducks feathers and keeps the underneath from getting wet.

Have to admit, since using 303 products, I won't use anything else!! Simply great and recommended by sunbrella.

303 products for cleaning and waterproofing and protecting. High Tech Fabric Guard is their waterproofing spray. Don't confuse the 303 Protectant for a waterproofing compound.

What I do before waterproofing is I take the canvas to the laundermat and wash it in a jumbo washer in cold water and use woolite. I let it air dry and spray it with Starbrite from West marine using a garden sprayer. It works great and covers all the areas.
